Anna and Nora at the organic market in Miraflores (bio-mercado), held every Saturday from 8:30-14:00.
Nora is an amazing woman, mother of 9 (!) and a community activist and leader in the pueblo joven (shantytown) of San Juan, near Villa el Salvador. The bio-market is just one of the ways she supplements her income, and while she and an older daughter sell their produce, two younger daughters collect recyclable goods (plastic bottles, cartons, etc.) to sell.
